Mission Statement:

Provide an enhanced childcare environment that is safe, healthy, and stimulating for all children in the community. Valuing the diverse perspectives, education, training and life histories of our children, families and staff, we develop programming on the foundation of inclusion and meeting critical developmental milestones for all ages, and deliver care that is specialized to accommodate short to long term goals of our families.

Our Philosophy:

In providing quality care and programming! FRCDN creates an environment where the children can explore and learn at their own pace and ability. Early Childhood Educators set up the environment to be inclusive of all children. Fort Rouge Co-op Day Nursery Inc. strives to provide an environment which develops the child’s social, emotional and physical skills through their play.

Our Goals are:

• to provide a safe, healthy, supportive, warm environment that respects and responds to each child’s capabilities and needs
• to create an environment that is age appropriate and allows the child explore in a meaningful way
• to encourage and listen to the child; enabling them to grow, learn, create, and develop at their own pace, in turn developing their self-esteem
• to give children the tools to learn how to problem solve and work through their emotions

We have a strong sense of community and understand parents/guardians want to be involved in their child’s day. Together we will work on communication; employees are responsible for sharing information about each child’s daily activities with parents, allowing for the parent to
open the lines of communication at home.
